The Opportunity

FSU is seeking a visionary leader to lead the Florida State University Police Department as Chief of Police. This is an exceptional opportunity to oversee safety and security at one of the nation’s leading public research universities.

The Chief of Police will guide a highly committed team of officers, ensure best practices in law enforcement and emergency management, and champion diversity and inclusion in public safety efforts.

The Chief will be responsible for setting strategic direction, managing the department’s budget, and maintaining key partnerships with law enforcement agencies at the local, county, and state levels. This role also involves leading the Capital Region Real Time Crime Center, a collaborative initiative that strengthens communication and intelligence-sharing across multiple agencies.
