The Opportunity
As the leader of a growing development team, the Chief Development Officer (CDO) is tasked with formulating and executing strategic fundraising initiatives critical to sustaining and expanding the Diocese’s programs and services. This individual will collaborate across the organization to provide resources and guidance on development matters to parishes, schools, and ministries.
The ideal candidate for this role is not only a seasoned development professional but also deeply passionate about the Diocese’s mission and vision. They possess exceptional relationship-building skills, both internally and externally, and exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit necessary for establishing a cutting-edge development program. With a focus on fostering a sustainable fundraising model, the CDO will identify and cultivate major donors, implement best practices in fundraising, and ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
Through effective leadership and collaboration with the Bishop and senior leadership, the CDO will play a key role in securing the financial resources needed to support the Diocese’s initiatives and serve its diverse community effectively.
