The Opportunity

Riverdale seeks a Chief Development Officer to oversee and revitalize its philanthropy program to support the School’s unique educational approach and to actualize its credo to “change the world for good.”

The new CDO will join at an auspicious moment for Riverdale.  With the arrival of the new Head of School, Kari Ostrem, Riverdale is poised to leverage its academic reputation and reinvigorate its development and alumni engagement program to realize its aspirations for the future.

The CDO will join a high-functioning leadership team that encourages diversity of thought and values the development of mind, character, and community. Reporting to Jenna King, the Associate Head of School for External Affairs, the CDO will manage a team of five to eight professionals and create and implement a strategic plan that embraces tradition while also seeking innovative opportunities to increase philanthropic support and engagement.

The salary range for this position is $250,000–$275,000.
