The Opportunity

Rawson Saunders seeks a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead fundraising initiatives that are crucial for sustaining and advancing the school’s mission of nurturing the full potential of dyslexic learners.

Reporting directly to the Head of School and collaborating closely with the Rawson Saunders Board of Trustees, the CDO will lead a comprehensive development program aimed at meeting annual fundraising targets and increasing overall revenue. A key aspect of this role will involve strategizing and executing a capital campaign to address the school’s future infrastructure and programmatic needs.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nonprofit fundraising and demonstrate a strong commitment to Rawson Saunders’ mission. This individual should excel in building and maintaining relationships with donors, alumni, and the broader community. Responsibilities include overseeing all facets of the development program, from annual giving and major gifts to planned giving and special events. Additionally, the CDO will work closely with various school departments to enhance the institution’s visibility and reputation, ultimately fostering a robust culture of philanthropy and engagement within the Rawson Saunders community.
