Located along the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana, Culver Academies is a coeducational, boarding high school of 830 students in grades 9–12. The school is comprised of Culver Military Academy for boys (founded in 1894) and Culver Girls Academy for girls (founded in 1971) as well as a six-week Summer Schools and Camps program (founded in 1902) for students ages 9–18. Culver Academies is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer to amplify and elevate the school’s culture of philanthropy. Reporting to the Head of Schools, the CAO will be responsible for providing innovative vision and strategic leadership to further the Advancement program. Leading a team of 36 professionals and managing an operating budget of $3.5 million, they will establish priorities, objectives, and best practices for the comprehensive program.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and excellent communicator with demonstrated knowledge and prior success in campaigns, major and principal giving, and annual giving. Additionally, they will be able to establish the infrastructure organizationally as well as technically, through data management systems, to realize operational potential and excellence.
