The Opportunity

Carnegie Mellon University seeks a creative and strategic Assistant Vice President, Content & Communications to join its Division of Marketing & Communications. The AVP will articulate the stories that capture the institution and to coordinate channels for sharing these messages. This critical new role will bring maximum communications impact to a variety of audiences through outstanding writing and editing skills, and by harnessing new media and new approaches. Responsibilities will include developing and disseminating long-form narrative, social media, and multimedia strategies in an integrated way. The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of experience with multichannel content creation, as well as proven and effective management experience.
