The Opportunity

Reporting
directly to the Director of Development, the Major Gifts Officer will play a central role in developing,
overseeing, and managing major gift strategies and programs ($50,000+), and
relating them to other segments of the department’s Advancement efforts. S/he
will manage a personal portfolio of 100+ major gift prospects and donors that
comprise many of the institution’s most important relationships and will
collaborate with other key staff to devise individually tailored major gift
strategies. The successful candidate will create high-quality connections with
the institution’s department chairs, division chiefs, physicians and
researchers, and will demonstrate a firm grasp of a wide range of medically
related terms and significant issues facing the healthcare profession. A
Bachelor’s degree is required, as is 3-5 years related experience.
