The Opportunity
MD Anderson is seeking an inaugural Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Major Gifts focused on transformational philanthropy through strategic leadership and collaboration.
This ambitious and dynamic leader will expand MD Anderson’s team of Major Gift Officers and work toward the public launch of a campaign to raise $2.5 billion by 2028. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Individual Giving and serving as a Team Leader for the Individual Giving team, the AVP for Major Gifts leader will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and training Major Gift squads comprising frontline Major Gift officers.
This pivotal role requires substantial fundraising expertise, exceptional management skills, and the ability to foster collaboration within teams and with volunteers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of major and principal gift fundraising experience, excellent people skills, and a demonstrated ability to execute philanthropic initiatives with precision and in alignment with institutional values.
