Founded in 1821 through an Act of Congress, George Washington University (GW) has fulfilled George Washington’s vision of an institution in the nation’s capital dedicated to educating and preparing future leaders. Situated within GW’s vibrant urban campus in the heart of Washington, D.C., the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) sits at the juncture of politics and business like no other school in the country. Under Dean Anuj Mehrotra’s leadership, GWSB is positioned to leverage all that the District of Columbia has to offer as an international city at the heart of the nation’s politics, government agencies, and nonprofit and private sectors for students, alumni, and prospective and current supporters.
The GWSB seeks an Assistant Vice President of Development and Constituent Engagement (AVP). The AVP will be a proven advancement professional who will oversee the School’s fundraising efforts while also engaging its varied constituents of alumni, students, faculty, friends, and institutional partners. This individual will be instrumental in setting goals and planning strategic activities to manage GWSB’s high-functioning development programs, including a staff of six professionals.
Ideal candidates will be ambitious, data-driven, and collaborative leaders who can manage a comprehensive advancement program and build upon GWSB’s success. This is an extraordinary opportunity for bold leadership and to leverage the School’s distinctive programs to support GWSB’s vision for the future.
