The Steinhardt School seeks an Assistant Dean of Development to partner with the School’s Dean, faculty members, and peers in NYU’s central Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) office to engage thousands of NYU Steinhardt alumni donors, and friends to drive fundraising success. Reporting to both the Executive Director of Schools and Institutes in UDAR and the Dean, the Assistant Dean will help define a vision and fundraising strategy aligned with the School’s strategic plan and University priorities. Critical to success in the role, the Assistant Dean will take the initiative to develop and execute a strategy to explore the untapped opportunity and recalibrate relationships as they guide the Dean’s fundraising activity. In addition to leading and mentoring a team, the Assistant Dean will carry a portfolio of major and principal-level prospects.
The successful candidate will be mission-aligned with a deep appreciation of academia and the importance of research and teaching and a proven record of soliciting and closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
The salary range for this position is $200k to $220k.
