National Consumer Law Center , Hybrid/Boston, Massachusetts

The National Consumer Law Center proudly traces its roots to the 1960s “War on Poverty” and its work as a support center for legal services offices. From its first days, NCLC has shared its expertise with on-the-ground legal aid lawyers who directly represent low-income people and has supported a strong and growing group of private attorneys who represent consumers in every corner of the nation.

The Opportunity

The National Consumer Law Center (NCLC), the preeminent advocate for low-income consumers in the United States, seeks an experienced professional to join the NCLC management team as the Publisher.

NCLC publications are definitive sources of information for today’s consumer advocates, including 4,000 current subscribers. As NCLC expands access and engagement with its critical resources, the Publisher will ensure the organization harnesses the latest publishing trends and successfully navigates a rapidly changing digital environment. Reporting to the Executive Director and overseeing a fully remote unit of eight team members, the Publisher will make key strategic decisions that shape the direction and focus of the publications program.

This is a full-time management-level position with a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who can work from Boston and come to the office at least three days a week are highly preferred. Candidates based outside of the Boston area must commit to come to the Boston office at least two consecutive days per month.
