Senior Vice President of Philanthropy

Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute
Remote Texas

The Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute (Meadows Institute) is a nationally respected, nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to transforming mental health care through forward-thinking policy solutions and systems-level innovation. Established in 2014 by the Meadows Foundation, the Institute serves as a “think-and-do tank,” leveraging data-driven research, policy analysis, and technical assistance to develop and scale models of care that deliver real-world impact.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the Meadows Institute has a statewide presence, operating programs in all 254 Texas counties and collaborating with stakeholders across the U.S. The Institute partners with government agencies, community organizations, health systems, and philanthropic leaders to improve access, equity, and quality in mental health care. Its vision is both clear and profound: mental health is health, and everyone deserves timely, effective care, regardless of geography or circumstance.

The Opportunity

The Meadows Institute is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and mission-driven fundraising executive to serve as its Senior Vice President of Philanthropy. This is a pivotal leadership role during an exciting period of growth and momentum. Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, the Senior Vice President will lead a high-performing development team and partner with executive leadership to shape the strategic direction of the Institute’s philanthropic initiatives.

A central focus of this role will be the Headfirst Campaign, a bold, multi-year, $100 million growth capital initiative aimed at expanding access to mental health care across Texas—especially for vulnerable youth and families. The Senior Vice President will help build the campaign’s infrastructure, grow a major gifts program, and directly steward a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and institutional partners.

Ideal candidates will bring a proven track record in securing six- and seven-figure gifts, leading development teams, managing capital campaigns, and aligning fundraising strategies with mission-driven goals. A deep commitment to mental health care access, public health, or health equity is essential, along with familiarity with the philanthropic landscape in Texas.

This remote-friendly role requires occasional travel and offers a competitive salary of up to $200,000.
