The ASU Foundation is redefining what’s possible in higher education. As the philanthropic engine behind Arizona State University, ASU Foundation for A New American University (ASUF) sparks bold ideas and drives transformative impact. In collaboration with ASU Enterprise Partners, it forges powerful partnerships and mobilizes diverse resources to fuel innovation in education, research, inclusion, and community progress. Together, they’re not just supporting a university—they’re shaping the future of a more inclusive, forward-thinking world.
Thunderbird School of Global Management, part of ASU since 2014, is the world’s first higher education institution to specialize in global management and leadership. Thunderbird transcends geography and discipline, training professionals who shape industries while addressing humanity’s most pressing challenges. Alumni form a robust, global network of changemakers and leaders across sectors.

The Opportunity
As Thunderbird School of Global Management enters its second decade as part of the Arizona State University system, the institution is seeking a proven fundraising leader to serve as Senior Director of Engagement.
The Senior Director will build and manage a global portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, with a focus on securing gifts of $100,000 and above. Reporting to the Executive Director of Engagement, the Senior Director will drive philanthropic strategy for key regions and lead efforts that connect Thunderbird’s global alumni, corporate, and foundation partners to the school’s mission and campaign priorities.
The Senior Director will serve as a lead strategist and relationship builder for Thunderbird’s international advancement efforts. They will work closely with the Dean, faculty, academic leadership, and ASU Foundation colleagues to craft compelling cases for support for ambitious fundraising goals.
With oversight of at least two campaign priority areas, the Senior Director will help shape Thunderbird’s role in ASU’s ongoing Changing Futures campaign and extend the school’s global influence through cross-border giving, international partnerships, and high-impact philanthropy.
