USA Lacrosse is entering a transformative moment for the sport. As the recognized national governing body and a member of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee, the organization provides the leadership, standards, and resources that guide the sport’s growth across the country. Since its founding in 1998 through the merger of eight volunteer-led lacrosse organizations, USA Lacrosse has shaped the landscape of the game, investing more than $300 million into youth development, safety and training standards, access initiatives, and the U.S. National Teams program. Today, it serves more than 400,000 members and continues to fuel the sport’s rising momentum.
The global growth of lacrosse and its historic return to the Olympic stage in 2028 mark a landmark moment for the organization. The United States has long been the dominant force in international competition, earning medals in every world championship and holding 36 gold titles. With 95 countries now represented in World Lacrosse membership, USA Lacrosse is poised to lead the sport into an era defined by inclusion, expansion, and opportunity.
