Director of Advancement

The Archer School for Girls
Onsite Los Angeles, California

The Archer School for Girls is a nationally recognized independent school in Los Angeles dedicated to nurturing the fearlessness, compassion, and resilience girls need to pursue their brilliance. Founded in 1995 by three visionary women and grounded in research on how girls learn and thrive, Archer has grown thoughtfully from a small founding cohort into a vibrant community of 500 students on a historic Sunset Boulevard campus. Throughout its evolution, Archer has remained deeply committed to innovation and community, positioning itself as a leader in the modern girls’ school movement.

Equally central to Archer’s identity is its investment in people. The School fosters a professional, inclusive, and collaborative workplace where faculty and staff are encouraged to bring their full selves, contribute ideas, and engage in continuous growth. Archer values reflection, partnership, and forward-thinking leadership, creating an environment where mission-driven professionals can do their most meaningful work in service of girls’ education.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal moment for Archer’s advancement program. The Director of Advancement will join a strong and well-established operation as the School enters the third and final phase of its $30 million capital campaign for a new Athletics and Performance Center.

Reporting to the Head of School and serving on the Senior Administrative Team, this leader will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, helping guide Archer through the culmination of a transformative campaign while strengthening long-term philanthropic relationships.

The Director of Advancement will oversee a comprehensive advancement program that includes annual giving, capital giving, major gifts, foundations, alumni engagement, parent volunteer leadership, and stewardship. With the Archer Fund generating $2.75 million annually and a deeply engaged parent and alumnae community, the opportunity is not about building from scratch, but about elevating an already successful program.

The ideal leader will bring strategic vision, operational excellence, and emotional intelligence to sustain momentum, deepen donor alignment with mission, and help shape a path forward together for Archer’s next chapter.

The salary range for this position is $210,000–$275,000.
