New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) is America’s founding genealogical organization. It is not only the leading comprehensive resource for family history research, it is the largest society of its kind in the world. Since 1845, NEHGS has been dedicated to advancing the study of family histories in America and in the world beyond. Located on Newbury Street in the heart of Boston, NEHGS conducts and publishes critical research and offers valuable educational opportunities and support for genealogists of all skill levels. Its recent Connecting Families, Advancing History campaign surpassed its $55 million goal, enabling the purchase of a new building, strengthening the endowment and vastly increasing annual giving.
