Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) is the region’s premier, patient-centered health-care organization serving residents of western Connecticut and adjacent parts of New York. WCHN aims to treat the sick, manage chronic medical problems, and promote preventative health services with innovative and coordinated primary and specialty care. The network is anchored by three nationally recognized hospitals in Danbury, New Milford and Norwalk. Through medical practices and sub-specialties across the region, home healthcare services, and a nationally renowned biomedical and research institute, Western Connecticut Health Network aims to improve the health of every person they serve through outstanding, compassionate care.
The Opportunity
Western Connecticut Health Network is seeking its first-ever Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts (SD) for its foundation. The SD should be an exceptional frontline fundraiser who is prepared to lead a team, to make significant advances in an already successful program and to link efforts between annual giving and major and principal giving. The Network has recently completed a $50 million campaign for Danbury Hospital and a $30 million campaign for Norwalk Hospital. At this pivotal time for the organization, the new SD will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and Vice President of the Western Connecticut Health Network Foundation to launch a new network-wide campaign. Reporting to the Vice President of the Foundation, the ideal candidate will have at least seven years of related experience and past success in closing 6-7 figure gifts.
