University of Maryland Shore Regional Health is a regional, nonprofit, medical delivery care network formed on July 1, 2013, through the consolidation of two University of Maryland Medical System partner entities: the former Shore Health System and the former Chester River Health System. As a member of UMMS, UM SRH can enhance its various clinical programs and facilities and facilitate physician recruitment, bringing world-class medical care to the residents of Maryland’s Mid-Shore region.
The Opportunity
UM Shore Medical Center at Easton seeks a Vice President for Philanthropy to serve as the external-facing philanthropy leader in advance of launching a transformational capital campaign. The Vice President will collaboratively partner with colleagues, faculty, and staff within the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation Shared Service matrix and represent and support both local and system-wide strategic and philanthropic efforts in advance of a $50 million capital campaign to build a new hospital in beautiful Talbot County, Maryland.
Reporting to the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s President and CEO, the Vice President will enter at a time of tremendous organizational development and expansion. With an active presence in the community, the ideal candidate will engage, support, and enhance partnerships with the University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders to leverage relationships and networks, working across private, public, and corporate partnerships. The Vice President will serve as the chief ambassador and front-line fundraiser for UM SMCE and oversee a foundation staff who provide support for fundraising activities.
