As one of the largest social service nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts, Catholic Charities serves its most vulnerable neighbors each year, regardless of religion, race, gender, age, disability, or ethnicity. It has 23 locations overall, including five hub sites in Dorchester, Lynn, Brockton, Lowell, and South Boston, and over 400 employees supporting families across Eastern Massachusetts. The Agency’s four core services offer a holistic approach to serving its clients by providing: Basic Needs, Family and Youth Services, Adult Education and Workforce Development, and Refugee & Immigrant Services.

The Opportunity

Catholic Charities Boston seeks a Vice President of Advancement to shape and lead advancement efforts in supporting its mission to welcome and serve, with compassion and respect, all those in need by providing life’s necessities, education, and advocacy to move families toward self-sufficiency. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a highly respected organization in which development plays a critical role. The ideal candidate will be a strategist with strong leadership skills who will set a vision and create programs and funding initiatives for diverse audiences. The new Vice President will be energetic and entrepreneurial, with the ability to create giving opportunities that promote Catholic Charities’ vision.

The ideal candidate will be a fundraising expert who believes in the power of philanthropy and who can thoughtfully and effectively implement best-practice strategies that will fundamentally and significantly increase philanthropic results for the benefit of the organization. The new Vice President will create a sustainable fundraising program to ensure and enrich the diversified services and programs on which its constituencies rely.
