The Opportunity

Carleton College is seeking a Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations (VP) to lead a well-executed and resourceful development program. The VP will report directly to the President of the College, serve on a collegial senior cabinet, and oversee all areas of fundraising, alumni and parent and family relations, grants, and alumni giving. To integrate these critical functions and guide them toward the fulfillment of Carleton’s mission, the VP will lead a team of 58 long-standing and deeply dedicated individuals with a commitment to excellence.

On the horizon is an ambitious comprehensive campaign, giving the Vice President an opportunity to leave a lasting impact as Carleton aims to set a new bar following the success of its most recent campaign (which raised $490 million against a goal of $400 million).

The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for the liberal arts and the educational mission of the College, with a deep appreciation of Carleton’s academic quality and the work of its faculty and staff.
