Students graduate with in-depth knowledge and skills in their fields of study and leave with a broad understanding of the role of communication across media, cultures and communities throughout the world. More than 4,400 undergraduates and 500 graduate students study and create in its four state-of-the-art buildings of more than 600,000 square feet of space. All five of Moody College’s schools and departments are ranked among the very best programs in the country in their respective disciplines. The numerous Centers and Institutes are highly interdisciplinary and conduct cutting-edge research, teaching and practice.

The Opportunity

Reporting to and partnering closely with Dean Jay Bernhardt, the Chief Development Officer for the Moody College of Communication will play an essential leadership role in advancing overall College fundraising and, in doing so, position Moody to contribute significantly to a forthcoming and highly historic campaign for UT Austin. The successful candidate, an exceptional fundraiser, manager and colleague, will lead and mentor a team of approximately eight staff and manage a portfolio of approximately 25 top donors.

The Chief Development Officer will lead the development of a comprehensive campaign fundraising plan that optimizes the best of the College’s resources, which include an inspirational and motivated Dean and leadership team, highly innovative programs and centers, an outstanding faculty, talented staff, committed alumni and friends, world-class students, and a Texas development program that is well-resourced and on the rise by every measure.
