Vice-President Advancement

University of Technology Sydney Sydney, Australia

This is an exciting time at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).  It has been ranked as Australia’s best young university three years in a row, and is listed in the top 250 universities by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.  UTS boasts an extraordinary campus in the heart of downtown Sydney with numerous award-winning buildings that enable a revolutionary approach to teaching.  Opportunities to shape a university into a truly world-leading institution are few and far between, as are opportunities to make a huge and positive impact on the world.  For the right candidate, the role of Vice President of Advancement offers both.

UTS is devoted to both its local and global communities. Innovation, collaboration and engagement are at the core of UTS’s range of strategic initiatives: from increasing the intensity, excellence, impact and reputation of its research and providing services for its community, to campus development plans that will strengthen its role in both education and business, to its engagement with Indigenous education and employment and its commitment to sustainability and internationalization.

The Opportunity

The University of Technology Sydney is seeking an experienced fundraising professional and leader with a track record of building relationships which transformed programs, connecting with others and driving change. The Vice-President Advancement, will lead and develop philanthropic and alumni strategies, enabling growth so UTS can achieve its teaching, research and service objectives. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the Vice President will be an integral part of the senior leadership team, collaborating extensively with industry, government, alumni and other donors, and providing critical strategic and social media advice.
