Located at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has been recognized as a “Cancer Center for Excellence” by the state of Florida and it is south Florida’s first and only university-based cancer center. The work of the 130 cancer specialists and 115 cancer researchers at Sylvester continues to be groundbreaking, including the establishment of a first-in-the-nation Department of Interventional Radiology and state-of-the-art patient-centric facilities.

The Assistant Vice President, Advancement for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is an ambitious, experienced, metrics-driven fundraising leader who is prepared to develop key strategies and goals to move the program forward. This talented communicator and manager should demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s mission, the ability to understand the center’s patient community, and a growth-driven mindset. S/He will bring an exceptional track record in major and principal gifts and superior management experience to lead a team of 22 individuals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record partnering with academic leadership within the context of a significant campaign, ideally within healthcare or higher education.
