The Opportunity

The Assistant Vice President for Alumni Engagement provides
creative leadership and overall managerial direction to the Office of Alumni
Engagement and the UB Alumni Association for the purposes of informing and
involving the nearly 240,000 alumni in the life of the university. The
position’s primary role will be to build relationships that result in volunteer
service and philanthropic support for the campus. S/He will play a pivotal role
in accelerating growth in alumni engagement and will collaborate with deans,
vice presidents and other leaders to plan and coordinate outreach and
engagement opportunities. The incumbent will develop and monitor a strategic
volunteer relations plan and oversee an effective communications strategy.
