The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler), is one of the fastest growing of the fourteen institutions in the University of Texas System. Founded in 1971, the school now has 10,000 students enrolled in the more than 80 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs. The UT Tyler campus stretches across 259 acres of pine and oak forests, with three additional regional locations. UT Tyler recently completed a $30 million Inspiring Excellence Campaign and has raised an additional $11 million for a new College of Pharmacy and other capital and endowment projects. They are currently in the midst of an expansive strategic planning process.

The Opportunity

The University of Texas at Tyler is seeking a Vice President for University Advancement to be the institution’s principal architect for fundraising and alumni engagement. Reporting directly to and serving as a key advisor for UT Tyler’s new president, this Chief Development Officer will be empowered to grow a comprehensive Advancement program. The Vice President will be responsible for managing and leading a team that can execute at the highest levels, moving the school forward as an economic and academic powerhouse. This fundraising leader will help bring the organization’s new five-year strategic plan to fruition, and possess at least 10 years experience, especially in major gifts ($100K+).
