The Opportunity

The Phoenix Symphony is seeking a Chief Development Officer with an entrepreneurial spirit who can provide strategic direction and leadership for a full range of development activities including major gifts, corporate giving, foundations, and planned giving. The person accepting this senior position will use their experience in campaigns and major gifts to lead the organization’s $8M capital campaign, Thrive: A Campaign to Strengthen Arizona’s Cultural Economy. The Chief Development Officer will play an important role on the executive leadership team and will serve as an ambassador, representing The Symphony at events. A minimum of eight years of nonprofit development experience is required; a musical background is preferred.
