The Edward E. Whitacre, Jr. College of Engineering is a globally elite college of engineering and internationally-recognized research institution. Building a community of scholars, the College of Engineering teaches critical engineering fundamentals, while also imparting international awareness and an understanding of how engineering impacts society now and into the future. From self-repairing transportation infrastructure, smart cities, alliterative energy methods, improving unconventional oil and gas recovery, the use and recovery of clean water and its distribution, engineering bio inspired processes, materials and structures, and developing medical solutions, the College’s students are at the forefront of regional, national and global solutions.

The Opportunity

The Senior Director of Development, Edward E. Whitacre, Jr. College of Engineering will plan, organize and implement an integrated development and alumni-relations program for the College of Engineering at Texas Tech University. This fundraising leader will cultivate individual, foundation and corporate support, including major gifts, and provide critical strategic vision for the growth of the program. The Senior Director of Development will also manage his/her own portfolio while giving overall direction for the College’s principal gift activity, major gifts work and alumni affairs program. A minimum of 8 years of development experience and a history with complex institutions and/or universities with medical or engineering schools is preferred.
