Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) was founded in 1874 as the Rose Polytechnic Institute. Today, it is home to 2,100 undergraduate and 100 graduate students majoring in engineering, science or mathematics. With a faculty-student ratio of 1:13 and an average class size of 20, Rose-Hulman has been ranked No. 1 by U.S. News & World Report among institutions whose highest degree in engineering is the master’s for 16 years in a row. With nearly 100 percent of students having a job lined up on graduation day at an average starting salary of $64,000, the school is ranked in the Payscale Top 10 for starting salaries.

The Opportunity

The Executive Director of Alumni Affairs is charged with directing and coordinating all alumni activities. A dynamic, self-starter who is goal-oriented and thrives in a multi-faceted position will be the perfect candidate. S/He will continue to solidify the relationship between RHIT, its alumni and future graduates by developing and implementing an annual plan that includes programs, service and events. The selected candidate will also increase alumni involvement and create services of interest and alumni club activities for graduates. The Executive Director will wear many hats as s/he helps RHIT achieve goals in admissions, career services and development and will also interact with many different groups including RHIT leadership, alumni, students and volunteers. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Previous knowledge of higher education and/or an alumnus of RHIT is highly desirable.
