The Opportunity

Princeton University is seeking a high-energy fundraising professional ready to assume a critical role with some of the institution’s highest level donors and stakeholders. The Director of Development, Principal Gifts (DODPG) will enter as Princeton engages in a visionary shift, with a new strategic planning framework adopted by the Board of Trustees to identify goals and major priorities. This experienced fundraising leader will report to the Assistant Vice President of Principal Gifts and Senior Philanthropic Advisor and will join a team of 180 that is in the early stages of developing a major campaign and growing the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development. The Director of Development, Principal Gifts will develop and implement long-term strategies for individual donors and will have 10+ years of experience with principal gifts and planned giving. Experience in higher education, alumni relations and volunteer management preferred.
