The United States Marshals Museum is a place of discourse, impact, and experience. Honoring the over 230-year history of the Marshals Service, the Museum tells the deep and rich story of America’s Constitution and the Rule of Law. Since 1789, Federal Marshals have served the United States in critical but often unseen ways. Committed to justice, integrity, and service, the Marshals are widely recognized for using guts, creativity, and dedication to their role in law enforcement.
The USMM is seeking a President and Chief Executive Officer to lead the team charged with creating one of the nation’s top experiential museums. This role will work closely with the Chairman of the USMM Board of Directors, as well as Museum and Foundation Board members and leaders in the Fort Smith community and beyond. This person will further generate interest and philanthropic support for the Museum as a significant contributor to the educational landscape of history and the economic impact it will have on the community and region. The USMM’s breathtaking design, combined with highly interactive and educational exhibits, provides the President and CEO with a unique opportunity to create and lead a best-in-class institution dedicated to honoring the U.S. Marshals’ role in American history.
The ideal candidate will have an ambitious desire for growth and collaboration with a keen understanding of business operations. This position will contribute to generations of learners’ understanding of the U.S. Marshals. Success in this role results in a thriving experiential museum while impacting the greater Fort Smith region with the economic development and growth that accompanies a nationally recognized institution.
