Ogunquit Playhouse , Ogunquit, Maine

The Ogunquit Playhouse is a cultural jewel located in the picturesque, seaside town of Ogunquit, Maine. For over 80 years, the Ogunquit Playhouse has been producing the highest quality theater and has deservedly earned its title of “America’s Foremost Summer Theatre.” It produces five musicals each season from late May to late October in its state-of-the-art theater. The Playhouse experienced a banner 83rd season in 2015. It was the first regional theatre in the U.S. to produce the smash hits Million Dollar Quartet and Sister Act as well as being among the first in the nation to bring the delightful musical comedy Nice Work if You Can Get It and the blockbuster musical Saturday Night Fever to the stage. Rounding out the 2015 season was the glamorous Broadway musical comedy classic Victor/Victoria. For the second year the Ogunquit Playhouse and the Music Hall will partner to bring the quintessential holiday musical White Christmas to the historic Portsmouth stage, extending the Playhouse season to December 20. Titles under consideration for 2016 include Anything Goes, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame. The Ogunquit Playhouse is committed to honoring its legendary heritage by creating the finest professional theatre in the seacoast region of Southern Maine, throughout New England and beyond.
