Serving thousands of animals each year, the MSPCA-Angell is the second oldest humane organization in the country. Its mission is to protect animals and relieve their suffering, advance health and welfare, prevent cruelty, promote awareness and advocate for a just and compassionate society. It has done this work for more animals than any other humane organization in America. Since its founding in 1868, MSPCA-Angell has helped establish laws and standards that have shaped the way animals are cared for. Headquartered in Boston, MSPCA-Angell operates medical centers and three animal care and adoption centers in Massachusetts working with dogs and cats, as well as assisting farm animals off-site.
MSPCA-Angell is seeking a Development Officer, Major Gifts with a demonstrated passion for and connection to its mission of protecting, helping, and advocating for animals. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Development Officer will have a high level of self-motivation, understand Boston’s philanthropic community, and have at least five years of experience in major gifts. This strong leader with excellent relationship-building skills will play a key part in the organization’s Centennial Campaign.
