Recognized as one of the best facilities in the country for excellent care and affordable costs, Lawrence General Hospital (LGH) is driven by a single overriding goal: to make sure that its local community has access to high-quality, high-value care, whenever the need arises. Its cardiac care services rank among the very best in the state and the cardiac center has garnered two national accreditations. LGH is also leading the way with new techniques in breast imaging, gastroenterology and many more specialty areas, and it hosts the most comprehensive pediatric specialty center outside of Boston. LGH enjoys many of the highest patient safety and quality ratings in the region.
Generous support from the community helps keep Lawrence General on the cutting edge of technology. During one recent fundraising campaign, donors invested more than $575,000 to fully renovate the LGH pediatric center, enhancing the family-friendly environment with new private rooms that make it possible for parents to stay with their child overnight. LGH is clinically affiliated with Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, further increasing its in-house expertise.
