The Opportunity

The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health seeks a Vice Dean for External Relations to lead a world-class External Relations department. The ideal candidate will do so by developing, articulating, and leading the execution of a successful development strategy – inclusive of fundraising, alumni affairs, and broader community engagement – designed to inspire high-quality engagement and relationship-building both domestically and abroad. Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty, the Vice Dean will articulate a sustainable fundraising strategy and provide leadership to inspire an expansion of high quality engagement – via alumni, donors, and key public health stakeholders. 10+ years of related experience, with progressively responsible experience in the development field, is required. Expertise in applying traditional development craft to a global and dynamic enterprise is preferred.
