The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Associate
Director of Major Gifts
actively manages a portfolio of prospects at
various relationship and proposal stages and is responsible for the
identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects with
giving capacity of $100,000 or more. The incoming Associate Director will partner
with world-class faculty, conduct donor and prospect visits and participate in
fundraising events at a most exciting time – as HLS has just launched its
public phase of The Campaign for the
Third Century
. A minimum of seven years of direct fundraising
experience, preferably in leadership or major gifts in higher education is
preferred and a demonstrated ability to form and leverage relationships with
major prospects, effectively manage volunteers and secure significant gifts through
thoughtful prospect management is required.
