The Opportunity

Dartmouth Health and the Geisel School of Medicine seeks a dynamic Executive Director for Strategic Engagement (EDSE). This role will develop and lead a comprehensive communications program designed to align strategic priorities and initiatives for the Dartmouth Health system and the Geisel School of Medicine with a focus on engaging donors and prospects in a meaningful and substantive relationship.

As a leader on the Medical and Healthcare Advancement team, the EDSE is responsible for establishing the strategic vision and strengthening Advancement’s relationship with internal and external audiences through a comprehensive engagement strategy including, but not limited to, alumni engagement, special events, and communications initiatives. The EDSE will oversee a multi-faceted program that includes print, digital, and social media communications, while serving as a key partner in fundraising and alumni engagement activities across organizations.

The ideal candidate will have successfully led a communications team and will have demonstrated success in synthesizing messaging across multiple enterprises. Experience within a complex environment, a commitment to collaboration and creative thinking, a balanced approach to work, and an understanding of and appreciation for the power of partnership are essential for success in this role.
