The Opportunity

MIT Sloan seeks a seasoned development professional as their next Director, Philanthropic Initiatives, Asia. This unique role offers the opportunity to join a best-in-class team while contributing to the institution’s growth and vision for the future through strategic and meaningful engagement with donors and prospects in the Asia and ASEAN region. They will have dual responsibility for stewarding and strengthening existing relationships with some of Sloan and the Institute’s most affluent prospects in Asia while identifying and cultivating new relationships with donors who have the potential to support the institution at the major ($250,000-plus) and principal gift level ($5 million-plus). The Director will also work closely with boards and alumni throughout the region representing MIT Sloan’s key priorities and initiatives.

Experience successfully engaging internal and external partners is required, as is a demonstrated track record of thoughtful leadership and collaboration, and success in a complex institution. The ideal candidate will have experience working with international donors and volunteers at the highest level and will have successfully closed multiple six- and seven-figure gifts.
