The Opportunity

Yale University seeks a Director of Prospect Development to lead a skilled and deeply committed team that provides stellar service and insight to the university’s Office of Alumni Affairs and Development. The director will report to an Associate Vice President of Development and will be charged with enhancing the organization’s strategy for pipeline and prospect development as well as cultivating strong and effective relationships with the division’s 23 units. As a member of the leadership team in the area encompassing alumni fund, leadership giving, major gifts, planned giving, and reunion giving – the director will be positioned to affect meaningful change as an innovator and thought leader who will help shape a new paradigm for the department. The Director of Prospect Development will join Yale in the third year of the public phase of a $7 billion campaign that will transform the University and numerous areas of research in the sciences and the humanities.

The successful candidate for the Director of Prospect Development will be an experienced development operations leader with a track record of building and leading teams in complex organizations.
