Considered one of the top public charter school operators in the country and consistently delivering on the promise that graduates will have strong pathways to college and career, Uplift is seeking a mission-aligned individual to lead a program that raises $10 million annually and work with a dynamic development team that has raised more than $100 million in the past decade.

Uplift Education has raised over $100 million over the past decade. In 2015 the organization successfully completed a $72 million capital campaign. The focus for the future is on continuing to expand a pipeline of major gifts while also growing the number of donors to the organization.

The Opportunity

Uplift Education is seeking an optimistic relationship builder to take on the role of Director of Development. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized development professional with at least eight years of experience who has a positive attitude and seeks to raise funds for a progressive organization that prioritizes concern for people and community.

Reporting to the Chief External Affairs Officer, the Director of Development will be a data-focused storyteller who will work with the external affairs team to grow philanthropic support to replicate Uplift’s model of excellence in education and expand the network by increasing the number of pre-k to Grade 12 scholars in the North Texas community.

The ideal candidate will be a development professional who is committed to education reform and wants to work with an organization that is a recognized national leader in the charter school movement.
