The Opportunity

The UNC Health Foundation is seeking a Director of Development, Neurosciences, who will help fuel the Foundation’s growth by deepening engagement and inspiring support among a portfolio of donors and prospects. Working closely with Dr. Gwenn Garden, Chair of the Department of Neurology, and reporting to the Senior Executive Director of Development, Advancing Health, the Director will pursue major and principal gifts in support of capital projects, research initiatives, scholarships, professorships, and endowment opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have fundraising experience in academic medicine, hospitals, or Tier I research institutions, with a proven track record of securing significant six- and seven-figure gifts. They should excel in building donor-centered relationships and be enthusiastic about collaborating with physicians and faculty members to attract new donors and inspire ongoing support for the Foundation’s growth.
