With the mission of “Impact Beyond Excellence,” Bar-Ilan University (BIU) has distinguished itself among its peers, not only with its milestone achievements in the sciences and humanities but with its requirement that all students take academic-level Jewish studies courses.

American Friends of Bar-Ilan University (AFBIU) provides philanthropic support for BIU through a national headquarters in New York and regional offices throughout the United States. AFBIU seeks contributions at all levels of giving from individuals, families, foundations, and businesses that embrace the University’s mission to provide students with an educational experience that is infused with Jewish values and a love of the State of Israel.

The Opportunity

Seeking a bold visionary with proven success in fundraising, the Director, Midwest Region will report to AFBIU CEO, Nina Hanan, and partner with lay leadership and colleagues at Bar-Ilan University to strengthen the case for support. The successful candidate will bring an understanding of, and an ability to leverage the strengths of Bar-Ilan, a university on an incredible upward trajectory, that will create opportunities to “bring the campus” to the Midwest Region.
