The Opportunity
MSI Reproductive Choices United States is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of Individual Philanthropy, West Coast. Reporting to the Senior Director of Individual Giving, the Director will play a crucial role in expanding the organization’s major gift program by building and managing a portfolio of 120 high-net-worth donors and prospects. With a focus on the West Coast, including major markets such as the San Francisco Bay Area, the Director will contribute to achieving MSI US’s ambitious fundraising goals, targeting $5.5 million across the West and East Coasts by 2023 and $12 million by 2025.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in major gift fundraising, a commitment to MSI’s mission, and will be responsible for implementing strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. The ideal candidate will exhibit an entrepreneurial and team-oriented work ethic, exceptional communication skills, and prior experience in international advocacy or mission-focused organizations. Proven success in building major donor programs, understanding donor motivations, and managing confidential information with tact is essential.
