The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000.

The Opportunity

The American India Foundation seeks its next Development Director – West Coast to lead and grow its fundraising efforts in the western United States. This is a unique and exciting role for an individual passionate about catalyzing social and economic change for the most underserved communities in India. The Director will serve as the lead fundraiser for chapters in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Seattle, raising $7 million annually, while also expanding their reach within the region. They will manage a portfolio of prospects and donors, developing and implementing strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations.

AIF seeks a creative, talented, experienced development professional with a global outlook who has a proven track record of success in securing six-figure gifts, developing strong relationships, engaging volunteers, and being part of a dynamic organization that is focused on improving the lives of others. While this position is remote, meeting with donors and board members in the Bay Area is an integral part of this role.  If not residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Director must be willing to travel regularly to the Bay Area.
