The Opportunity
The Senior Director, Foundation Relations will facilitate relationships with national foundations and secure commitments ranging from $100,000 to $1M. Superior writing, analytical, communication and stewardship skills are essential to this role, as is success building relationships that are critical to a dynamic foundation fundraising program. A background in biomedical research, medicine, or science is preferred, along with a strong understanding of the nuances and needs of a complex health sciences research environment. The successful candidate will possess 5+ years of experience and a track record of securing high six- and low seven-figure gifts. Reporting to the AVP, Philanthropy, Foundation Relations, the Senior Director will supervise one Director and will serve as an effective collaborator, coach, and colleague on a high-performing team.
