Since its founding in 1927, the Councils have helped over five million young people become “Prepared for Life.” The Greater New York Councils serves the five boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island; it is one of the few remaining purely urban Scout Councils.

The Opportunity

Building on a century of tradition of guiding youth to be good citizens, the Boys Scouts of America – Greater New York Councils seeks a Chief Financial and Administrative Officer to serve as the lead financial and administrative executive for the Councils. The CFAO will work closely with the CEO and the board to transform the financial operations of the Council.

The ideal candidate will be an action-oriented professional who is looking for a challenge. Candidates must have a thorough understanding across a wide array of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, accounting, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information systems, and human resources.

The salary for this position is approximately $170,000, plus benefits.
