Ronald McDonald House Charities – New England
Providence, Rhode Island & Boston, Massachusetts

Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England (RMHCNE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with seriously ill children. Through its Ronald McDonald Houses, Family Rooms, and Care Mobiles, RMHCNE provides a comprehensive network of resources to families facing pediatric illnesses at children’s hospitals and medical facilities in Boston, Rhode Island, and throughout New England.

The Ronald McDonald House at Boston Harbor and the Ronald McDonald House of Providence specifically offer a home away from home for families, alleviating the stress of daily living and enabling them to focus on their children’s health. With a mission-driven approach, RMHCNE envisions a world where all children have access to healthcare, and their families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s care.

The Opportunity

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England oversees all aspects of the organization as it fulfills its mission of caring for families and children. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will be instrumental in steering the organization through a transformative period while increasing RMHCNE’s visibility, funding, and program development.

With over 30 years of history, RMHCNE has a strong brand and a record of accomplishment in improving the health and well-being of children and their families. The incoming CEO will build on this foundation by developing strategic partnerships, leading fundraising efforts, and driving plans for strategic growth. This includes running a capital campaign and overseeing the acquisition and construction process for a new Ronald McDonald House in Boston, rising to the occasion for families and meeting the pressing need for expanded facilities dedicated to their care.

Longer term, the CEO will collaborate with the Board, staff, and external stakeholders to create a shared vision for the organization’s future, emphasizing financial stability, community engagement, and the impact of its programs. The successful candidate will be mission-driven with a proven track record in leadership, fundraising, and operations, and will play a crucial role in advancing RMHCNE’s mission and vision.
