The United States Marshals Museum is a place of discourse, impact, and experience. Honoring the over 230-year history of the Marshals Service, the Museum tells the deep and rich story of America’s Constitution and the Rule of Law. Since 1789, Federal Marshals have served the United States in critical but often unseen ways. Committed to justice, integrity, and service, the Marshals are widely recognized for using guts, creativity, and dedication in their role in law enforcement. The Museum is in final preparations for a 2023 grand opening and will serve as a national platform to further educate, engage, and share the U.S. Marshals’ role in American history.
The USMM seeks a Chief Development Officer and Foundation President who will be responsible for the conception, development, coordination, implementation, and management of all aspects of the USMM’s fundraising efforts via the Foundation. The CDOFP will serve as the chief fundraiser and ambassador; raise community awareness of the USMM’s mission, goals, and accomplishments; and serve as a key spokesperson for the organization in its efforts to attract and retain donors, funders, and partners on a local, regional, and national scale. Charged with completing the Museum’s $50 million campaign currently underway, they will partner with the Museum’s President and CEO to lay the foundation for a future endowment campaign.
The ideal candidate will facilitate philanthropic support and partnerships for the Museum with a focus on strengthening sustainability while providing meaningful and substantive stewardship to donors.
