Boston Medical Center (BMC) is a private, non-profit academic medical facility located in Boston’s historic South End. In addition to its hospital care, the medical center founded Boston HealthNet, a network of community health centers to care for the city’s residents. BMC has launched Building the New BMC, a six-year $350 million campaign for research funding and improved facilities.

The Opportunity

The Senior Grants Officer for Boston Medical Center will be a key part of a dynamic Foundation Relations and Government Grants team. This fundraising entrepreneur will cultivate and manage a portfolio of government and foundation grants related to clinical initiatives, educational programs and research. A creative strategic thinker, skilled project manager, and outstanding writer, the Senior Grants Officer will facilitate dialogue between funders and principal investigators and lead the preparation of federal, state, and foundation grant proposals. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in grant writing and/or research, as well as in-depth knowledge of health care service delivery models, trends in health organizations and financing, and evaluation methods.
