BC’s Office of University Advancement, led by Senior Vice President Jim Husson, has experienced significant growth and success in recent years. Currently staffed at 195 with the goal of hiring 30 incremental staff prior to the launch of the next campaign, the division has attracted some of the most capable and collegial professionals in the field. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Major Giving, the Director, Parent Development will lead Boston College’s parent major gift fundraising efforts and run one of the nation’s most successful and ambitious parent philanthropy programs in higher education. The Director will be responsible for the development of events, volunteer opportunities, and communications to maximize engagement and philanthropy of BC’s local and regional parent community. S/He will manage two fundraising professionals and a portfolio of 30-40 parent prospects. The ideal candidate is collaborative, strategic, and has a proven track record of soliciting and closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
