past three years. In addition to caring for children through 25,000 inpatient
admissions annually, the facility also houses the largest research enterprise
based at any pediatric hospital, with more than 1,100 scientists.

The Boston Children’s Hospital Trust was founded in 1997 as a
philanthropic resource for the hospital. The goal is to support efforts to
advance patient care, research, medical training and community health. The
Trust publicly launched last year its “Dream,
Dare, Deliver
” campaign – the largest campaign of any children’s
hospital with a goal of $1.3 billion.

The Opportunity

The Senior Foundation Relations Officer will partner with the Senior Director and Assistant VP to secure and grow Foundation support from local, national, and international sources. Working with board members, senior administration, department chiefs, scientists, and other faculty as appropriate, the Senior Foundation Relations Officer will design and implement creative strategies and solutions that will substantially increase foundation support. S/He will maintain a portfolio of six- and seven-figure prospects, and secure, cultivate and steward large gifts. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in foundation fundraising is required; experience in academic medicine or scientific research settings is preferred.
